Release time: 2020-11-06

As China's international influence increases and Chinese culture spreads on the international stage, more and more countries have begun to study traditional Chinese culture. Chonnam University in South Korea launched the first "International Day (China)" on November 9th, 2020 and recruited participants. After several selection hoops, the team including two exchange students Wang Mengying and Zhang Yuexin from Wenzhou University was finally selected.

The facial makeup of Peking Opera has been recognized as one of the signs of traditional Chinese culture. In this activity, the students gave a detailed demonstration of the making of this art. With the exquisite craft, the three blank masks finally had lifelike shape, color and pattern, which clearly reflected the character's personality.

On October 30th, the team with Wang Mengying and Zhang Yuexin in it successfully completed the recording of the video "Introduction to Traditional Chinese Culture-Facial Makeup in Peking opera". The video will be uploaded to YouTube and other video platforms in mid to early November.
