Dr. ZHENG Xiaoli's Team from the College of Education at WZU Publishes Academic Paper in Top International Journal "Computers & Education"

In recent years, Dr. ZHENG Xiaoli, Dr. LAI Wenhua, and Master's student GU Xinyan from the Department of Educational Technology at our College of Education have explored measurement methods related to subject adjustment in collaborative learning from the perspective of individual social metacognition. They have pioneered the development of an Individual Social Metacognition Scale in online collaborative argumentation, addressing measurement issues related to subject adjustment. This achievement was published in the prestigious international journal "Educational Technology Research and Development" (SSCI, Q1) hosted by the American Educational Technology Communication Association at the end of March 2023, providing a scientifically reliable measurement tool for future large-scale experimental research.

 

Recently, this research achievement titled "Effects of online whiteboard-based collaborative argumentation scaffolds on group-level cognitive regulations, written argument skills and regulation patterns" was published in the top international journal in the field of educational technology, "Computers & Education." "Computers & Education" is categorized as a Tier 1 journal in the Chinese Academy of Sciences Journal Citation Reports, with an impact factor of 12 and a citation index of 23.8. It publishes original research results related to computer education and is considered an international top-tier journal in the field of educational technology. This year, it ranks first among journals in the field of education and educational research internationally, possessing broad influence in the field of educational technology. The journal's publication quality and academic impact are widely recognized, playing a crucial role in advancing research and progress in the field of educational technology.

 

This research was a collaborative effort between Dr. ZHENG Xiaoli, Dr. HUANG Yipin, and master students HUANG Jun and XIA Xiaohan from the Department of Educational Technology at Wenzhou University, and Dr. HUANG Guozhen, a lifelong professor from the Institute of Education Information and Test Statistics at National Taichung University of Education. Dr. ZHENG Xiaoli's research team has consistently conducted scientific research in line with international academic frontiers and national educational needs, focusing on research areas such as interaction and cognitive science, collaborative learning, and argumentative teaching. In recent years, team members have conducted in-depth exploration and practical research in these areas, achieving numerous research results. It is worth noting that this is the first time that the research team of Wenzhou University's Department of Educational Technology has published an article in this prestigious journal, marking a significant breakthrough in research in the field of educational technology.
