Professor Xue Wei of our university was elected as the first expert of the Academician Expert Advisory Committee of China Association of Inventions

From September 27 to 28, Professor Xue Wei, director of the International Cooperation Base of Laser Processing Robot of College of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of our university, attended the 8th National Member Congress and the 15th Chinese Inventor Forum of China Association of Inventions held solemnly in China Hall of Science and Technology in Beijing. The conference was presided over by academician Pan Yunhe, chairman of the Seventh Council. Wan Gang, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and chairman of China Association for Science and Technology delivered a speech; leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology and National Intellectual Property Administration also addressed the conference. Tu Youyou, winner of the medal of the Republic and Nobel Prize in Medicine, sent a congratulatory message. Over 400 directors, members, experts and representatives of China Association of Inventions attended the conference and the forum.

During the conference, Professor Xue Wei was elected as the first expert of the Academician Expert Advisory Committee of China Association of Inventions, and the conference issued certificates to the first experts of the Academician Expert Advisory Committee of China Association of Inventions. The Academician Expert Advisory Committee of China Association of Inventions is a branch that provides consulting services for all sectors of society in order to give better play to the characteristics of the large number of innovative talents and wide professional coverage of the Association. A new group of 23 eminent experts include leading talents in the fields of agricultural science and technology, artificial intelligence, general aviation, industrial design, bio-medicine and so on.

Xue Wei is a national level-2 professor and an expert with special government allowances of the State Council, deputy director of Laser Processing Committee of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, vice president of Zhejiang mechanical engineering society, and director of international science and technology cooperation base of laser processing robot at national level. He has long been committed to the research and IRU of laser and photoelectric technology, mechanical manufacturing engineering and automation. He has presided over 2 national key projects, 2 national general projects, 2 provincial major special projects, 4 provincial general projects, participated in more than 10 national and provincial scientific research projects, and has been authorized with over 70 invention patents, including 2 from U.S. authorized invention patents. He has published over 100 academic papers, more than 40 of which were included in SCI, edited 4 textbooks, won 3 first prizes, 3 second prizes, 4 third prizes of provincial science and technology awards in the researches he had presided over or participated in .
